I saw it in high school often. Someone got to class and another person spotted what was deemed a bad fashion choice.
They'd spend whatever time they could to degrade them. Usually, provoking them enough that an altercation or fight jumped off.
The person had found a trigger. That thing to get a response, an explosion.
We all have triggers, some good, many negative.
Triggers get you or I to act outside our character.
Think about who can provoke you in a way that triggers confrontation. Write down what needs work. Practice the interaction on your own.
