That's (Un)Law(ful)

We know that the moral code of the law is beautiful when applied as God intended,
1 Timothy 1:8 TPT

I look around in communities, read articles and occassionaly catch a convo about how a law was conceived or enforced based on a person's interpretation of the Bible.

And it's sad, because more often these days, they're wrong.

The Bible is a manual of love and Christian discipleship.

Yet, it's been falsely used to support slavery and racial prejudice, as a barrier to reproductive rights and voting access for women, plus other punk moves.

The Bible holds accounts of the poor, disenfranchised, and overlooked being cared for by Yahweh and His followers. To try to reposition it as a basis for power and immoral behavior is blasphemy.

If the basis of a law or decision harms or degrades, that's not love. And that's not Christ, yesterday, today or forevermore.

God Bless.111
